![]() The main storyline can be too long for its own good, as it just takes extra time to get through (and you don't know what to do with lots of that time when new to the game, so it feels like just waiting) but the DLCs made me realize how beautiful it is. I think have one of the DLC stories that i've not played as much, and can at least dig into that one. ![]() I've not played then for 6+ months, as I've been too busy with other things, but I'm pretty sure I'll get back into the game again at some point. I don't think I've gotten any of the optimal outcomes for the DLCs, but have gotten it for the main story quest. I've put at least 60 hours into This War Of Mine since then, probably 100. But I STRONGLY suggest playing the main story and each scenario the way it's supposed to be played (no mods, no extra saves) at least the first time you play through them otherwise the game situation won't quite match up with the story like it should, and you won't get the same sense of how the game works. ![]() The lack of saves is a big hurdle and honestly I made copies of the savegame files so I do have old saves, even if the game doesn't allow custom saves. It probably helped that I installed a workshop mod that increase my character's carrying capacity a bit, which does make the game significantly less punishing to play. Probably 3 or 4 years later, after becoming a Frostpunker with at least 150 hours in the game, I reinstalled This War Of Mine and played the DLCs. ![]() Then I eventually quit after some stuff glitched and I couldn't reset it (they have fixed those glitches since then). The first time I played it, I got through a bit and needed a few restarts. ![]()
